Srinagar, August 07, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Bar Association Handwara staged a protest demonstration against manhandling of its president by Additional Deputy Commissioner. The protesting lawyers marched from the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CMJ) court, Handwara, to the ADC office. They said that the ADC unnecessarily rejects deeds, which has irked the general public. A member of the Bar Association said, for the last six months no deed has been done by the ADC, who mostly remains absent from his duties.
“Two days back, President Bar Association Handwara G.N Kaboo along with another Advocate visited his (ADC’s) office to discuss why there is delay in the documentation work,” a lawyer said. “During the discussions, the ADC misbehaved and manhandled the Bar President and accompanying advocate,” he said. The protesting lawyers demanded action against the ADC.
