Haqparast MNA seeks end to loadshedding woes in Hyderabad

May 29, 2020

HYDERABAD:Haqparast Member National Assembly (MNA) Sabir Hussain Qaimkhani on Friday demanded of the federal government to end power loadshedding in the name of load management in Hyderabad and Latifabad besides ensuring power generation as per the demand in the current summer season.

Six to eight hours loadshedding in the name of load management in Hyderabad city and Latifabad is being carried out which is unacceptable, says Qaimkhani in a statement. He said that soon after the Eid holidays, the people had become upset and helpless due to rising loadshedding as extreme heatwave and unannounced loadshedding had led to water shortage in the city.

He demanded of the Federal Minister for Power to take notice of the situation and order strict punishment to those responsible for it. He said: “Household activities and businesses are also facing severe blow from the ongoing lockdown while unannounced loadshedding had also affected the water supply and sewerage system. As a result, people have suffered double trouble.”

He said transformers turned faulty for two-two days, so the federal government should solve the problem of circular debt and other issues. He said that rotten wires, poles and transformers should be replaced, over-billing and detection billing should also be brought to an end and the damage to people’s valuables due to this rotten system of electricity should be compensated, he concluded.
