Harassment of IOK people ahead of Indian Republic Day flayed

Srinagar, January 17, 2018 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement, Zafar Akbar Butt, has expressed serious concern over the increase in the atrocities of Indian forces on the people of the territory ahead of Indian Republic Day, the 26th January.

Zafar Akbar Butt during the mass contact programme addressed people in Beerwah area of Budgam. Addressing a gathering on the occasion, he castigated the puppet authorities for harassing people in the entire Kashmir Valley in cold weather in the garb of cordon and search operations ahead of 26th January. He said that Kashmiri youth were scarifying their precious lives for the just cause of freedom from Indian yoke and their mission would be accomplished at all costs.

Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir National Front in a statement issued in Srinagar expressing concern over the day-to-day crackdowns in every nook and corner of the Valley said that New Delhi was using brutal tactics to suppress the freedom sentiments of the Kashmiri people. “It (India) is jailing people, restricting them to their houses, conducting crackdowns and claiming that peace is prevailing in Kashmir. Fact of the matter is that India has managed the silence of graveyard in the territory by arresting genuine political leadership in concocted cases and filling jails with youth. The irony is that the imprisonment of leaders like Nayeem Ahmed Khan is being prolonged by using judiciary,” the statement said.
