The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Headquarters/Security, Syed Ali Raza, conducted a thorough review of the entry and exit points in Islamabad today following orders from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.

During his inspection, DIG Raza met with officers and personnel stationed at the enclave, stressing the critical need for stringent security checks. He issued a directive that mandates a comprehensive inspection of every vehicle entering the area. This step is part of a broader strategy to tighten security protocols amidst growing concerns about potential threats.

The focus on safeguarding important buildings within the enclave was reiterated, with DIG Raza highlighting the necessity of constant vigilance. “Given the current national situation, our readiness to handle any untoward incidents is paramount,” he explained, emphasizing the importance of maintaining peace and preventing any disruption.

Further instructions were given to enhance patrol routines and improve the effectiveness of security checks. Senior officers have been tasked with keeping the security personnel well-informed about possible emergency scenarios, ensuring a high level of preparedness at all times.

DIG Raza also pointed out the importance of professional conduct among the police forces, insisting on adherence to uniform standards and proper equipment usage. He warned that any negligence in duties would be met with strict departmental actions.

The measures taken by the Islamabad Police aim to fortify the Diplomatic Enclave against any malicious activities, ensuring the safety and security of both public and private assets in the federal capital.
