(Hockey): PHF organizes training camp for goalkeepers from September 25

Karachi: Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) is organizing physical fitness training camp for national junior goalkeepers at National Hockey Stadium in Lahore from September 25 to October 5.

Olympian Nasir Ahmed will conduct the goalkeepers training camp and it will be coordinated by Olympian Khawaja Muhammad Junaid.

PHF is organizing this camp to prepare young goalkeepers for the upcoming assignment of Junior Asia Cup Hockey Tournament, which will be played in Dhaka, Bangladesh from January 21 to 30 next year.

Chairman Selection Committee Manzoor Junior has shortlisted seven goalkeepers for the camp. The shortlisted goalkeepers are Waqar Younas, Abdullah Ishtiaq, Akmal Hussain, Noman, Amjad Ali, Munib ur Rehman and Sheikh Abdullah.

PHF has already announced camp for 35 probables, apart from goalkeepers. The camp will be held at Army Physical Fitness School, Tobe Camp in Abbottabad from September 22.
