QUETTA: Malik Abdul Wali Kakar, Senior Vice President, Balochistan National Party (Mengal) attaches priority to the issue of missing persons and no compromise would be made on the issue.

These views were expressed by him while talking to media, including PPI, on Saturday in the symbolic one-day hunger strike camp set up outside Quetta Press Club set up for the recovery of missing persons, including the release of Mahal Baloch wife of Beebarg Baloch resident of Kech.

According to detail, Balochistan National Party (Mengal) set up one-day symbolic hunger strike camp outside Quetta Press Club against the forced disappearance of Baloch women and children and against the detention of Mahal Baloch.

Symbolic hunger strike was attended by Central General Secretary, BNP (M) Waja Jahanzaib Baloch, MPAs Ahmed Nawaz Baloch, Sanna Baloch, Shakeela Naveed Dehwar, Akhtar Hussain Langove, Malik Naseer Shahwani, member central committee BNP (M) Shumaila Ismail, Central Labour Secretary, Musa Baloch, President, district Quetta, Ghulam Nabi Marri, Javed Baloch, Jammal Langove and others.

Separately, protest sit-in near red zone area of Quetta staged by the relatives of Mahal Baloch continued for the second consecutive day, demanding the authorities to release Mahal Baloch. It is pertinent to mention that Mahal Baloch wife of Beebarg Baloch, resident of Kech was arrested by the personnel of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Quetta and other secret agencies on February 18, 2023 near Razaq Dotani Park, Satellite Town, Quetta. CTD alleged that a suicide jacket was recovered from the possession of alleged suicide bomber Mahal Baloch.
