Hurriyat-AJK leaders pay homage to late Abdul Majeed Butt

Islamabad, September 18, 2020 (PPI-OT): The Hurriyat-AJK leaders have paid rich tributes to the late Kashmiri scholar, Engineer Abdul Majeed Butt. Engineer Abdul Majeed recently passed away in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. A condolence reference was held at the office of APHC-AJK in Islamabad for late Engineer Abdul Majeed Butt.

Addressing the reference, the Hurriyat leaders said that Abdul Majeed Butt had dedicated his life for the Kashmir freedom movement. They said that the deceased was a highly educated as well as a noble man. The speakers said that although Abdul Majeed Butt belonged to Jamaat-e-Islami but he always played role in the liberation movement beyond his organizational affiliation. They termed the death of Abdul Majeed Butt as a great loss to the ongoing freedom movement. Abdul Majeed Butt was the elder brother of Hurriyat-AJK leader, Manzoor-ul-Haq.

Besides APHC-AJK Convener, Muhammad Hussain Khateeb, Syed Faiz Naqshbandi, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Mahmood Ahmad Saghar, Manzoor-ul-Haq Butt, Mir Tahir Masood, Shamim Shawl, Altaf Hussain Wani, Abdul Majeed Mir, Zahid Safi, Imtiaz Ahmed Wani, Abdul Majeed Malik, Syed Aijaz Rehmani, Sheikh Mohammad Yaqoob, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, Mian Muzaffar, Nazir Ahmed Karnai, Haji Mohammad Sultan, Gulshan Ahmed and Syed Mushtaq Gilani participated in the condolence reference while Advocate Perez Ahmad acted as stage secretary.
