Islamabad, March 19, 2019 (PPI-OT): The Sports Committee of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the Chairmanship of Nasir Mehmood Chaudhry organized a friendly cricket match between ICCI President XI and Chairman XI at Diamond Cricket Ground, Islamabad. Ahmed Hassan Moughal President ICCI led the President XI while Zubair Ahmed Malik Chairman Founder Group led the Chairman XI. The President XI won after an interesting match.
Speaking at the occasion, Ahmed Hassan Moughal, President, Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry congratulated the Chairman and whole team of Pakistan Cricket Board for successful holding of 8 PSL matches in Karachi. He said it was due to the good efforts of PSL that cricked has been restored in Pakistan. He said the successful conclusion of PSL in Pakistan has changed perception of Pakistan in the outside world. He said that participation of 39-40 international cricketers in PSL matches in Pakistan reflected that Pakistan was now a safe country for sports, tourism and investment.
Ahmed Hassan Moughal said that around 200,000 spectators reported visited National Cricket Stadium to watch PSL matches, which showed the enthusiasm of people towards crickets. He hoped that international cricket would now come back to Pakistan that would be helpful for promoting business and economic activities as sports was now a billions dollar industry. He also lauded the efforts of Nasir Mehmood Chaudhry, Chairman, ICCI Sports Committee and his team for successful holding of friendly cricket match between President XI and Chairman XI.
Speaking at the occasion, Zubair Ahmed Malik, Chairman, Founder Group said that Prime Minister Imran Khan announced to hold all PSL matches in Pakistan next year, which was highly commendable. He said that sports played crucial role in promoting trade and industrial activities and return of international cricket to Pakistan would be highly beneficial for the economy. He said that restoration of sports activities would also promote tourism in Pakistan and create plenty of new jobs.
