IG PUNJAB DR. USMAN ANWAR ISSUED A SPECIAL MESSAGE ABOUT THE IT REFORMS BEING USED BY THE FORCE

Lahore, June 08, 2023 (PPI-OT): Inspector General Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar has said that Punjab Police is following the latest e-policing based on information technology and is using information technology and tools to improve law and order, solving crimes, and improving service delivery. In a special message regarding the latest IT reforms and projects used by Punjab Force, IG Punjab said that the working of Punjab Police has been built on modern systems and applications of information technology. IG Punjab said that 1787 and Complaint Management System are active continuously for transparent, impartial and accountability of police force, tracking, feedback, follow-up of all complaints of citizens related to police are done at high level of supervision. In this regard, thousands of complaints have been redressed in time.

Dr. Usman Anwar said that along with the gradual functionalization of all Safe City cameras, Safe City system is being launched at the local level in other three cities. IG Punjab said that anti-vehicle lifting system, latest mechanism of vehicle checking through e-gadgets applications is in use. Likewise, Facial recognition system, checking number plates through artificial intelligence, arresting criminals, and reunion of missing persons with their families in underway. Dr. Usman Anwar said that the e-post system of the police is being exploited for arrest of dozens of court fugitives, proclaimed offenders and bringing them to justice on a daily basis. IG Punjab said that every police constable has human resource management system, welfare and crime prevention app, as well as smart eye, hotel eye, tenancy registration and other applications to track criminals and anti-social elements.

IG Punjab said that the Punjab Police Pakistan app compatible with Android and IOS system has integrated all the police apps through which citizens can easily access 14 facilities at home in the style of a service center. IG Punjab said that the driving license issuing system of the Punjab Police has been upgraded and every Pakistani who has a national identity card can get a license from the driving centers through modern IT system of Punjab Police. IG Punjab said that the police station record management system in use at the police station level helps in the effective use of available personnel and resources, while the office work of the police has been harmonized with the Chief Minister's Secretariat and has become paperless through the e-foas system.

IG Punjab said that CTD and Special Branch developed such software with latest data analysis and artificial intelligence systems which are not even available in the world's top agencies and thanks to these hi-fi systems, CTD and The Special Branch has stabilized the atmosphere of law and order by breaking the back of the terrorists. Dr. Usman Anwar said that along with modern technology, the police has ensured the protection of the lives and property of the citizens with their determination. He said that police have given sacrifices and our force is a leaded wall between citizens and dacoits and oppressors. IG Punjab said to support the Punjab Police in maintaining law and order by identifying the crimes. The process of solving the crimes would be completed more quickly with the cooperation of the citizens.
