ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday cancelled the interim bail earlier granted to two MNAs of PTI, who were accused of being involved in the Sindh House attack on March 18.
After cancellation of their pre-arrest bail by the IHC’s Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangir, both the MNAs of PTI Attaullah Niazi and Faheem Khan were taken into custody by the police present in the court. Earlier on March 18, around two dozen MNAs of PTI had taken refuge in the Sindh House to avert the then government’s wrath. Later, some workers of PTI barged into the Sindh House to throw the MNAs out.
The PTI workers had also held protest demonstrations in the federal capital. After the Sindh House incident, MNAs Attaullah Niazi, Faheem Khan and 12 other members of the PTI were arrested by the Islamabad Police for taking part in the violent protest.
