ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday granted Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan protective bail till August 25 in a terrorism case registered against him for threatening a female additional sessions judge and senior police officers at a public rally in F-9 Park, Islamabad on Saturday.
PTI Chairman was booked on Sunday under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (punishment for acts of terrorism) regarding his threatening remarks. Imran Khan’s lawyers Babar Awan and Faisal Chaudhry filed a petition in the IHC on Monday for pre-arrest bail.
The IHC division bench comprising Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani and Justice Babar Sattar while grating protective bail till Thursday directed Imran Khan to approach the relevant court.
