ISLAMABAD: Finance Minister Miftah Ismail on Wednesday said implementation of the agreement with International Monitory Fund (IMF) is must for reviving the economy.

Talking to a private television channel, he said the incumbent government is bound to fulfil the conditions under the soft agreement inked with IMF to save the country from default. The Finance Minister said it is vital for the government to complete its parliamentary tenure in order to boost the economy and streamline the system.

Replying to a question, he said some economic sectors including exports and remittances are showing positive indications for the last few months. He said efforts are being made to curtail imports and increase exports.
