India grilled for continued sealing of Sopori’s house, raids

Srinagar, June 30, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the authorities continue to seal the house of senior APHC leader, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, in Srinagar. The authorities had sealed Khan Sopori’s house in Chhanapura area of Srinagar on June 30, 2012 on the basis of baseless charge. They have not been able to provide any evidence in the case. In a statement, the family of senior Hurriyat leader strongly condemned the persistent sealing of their home, calling it a serious violation of human rights. They said that Sopori was being victimised for voicing for settlement of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions.

 

Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement Secretary Information Shabbir Ahmad in a statement denounced the police raid on the house of party vice chairman, Abdul Majeed Mir, at Kareemabad in Pulwama. He denounced the inhuman treatment to the inmates and arrest of Majeed Mir’s nephew Jehangir Mir by the police. Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Employees Movement Vice Chairman Imtiyaz Wani in a statement said that India was hell bent upon suppressing the Kashmiris’ freedom movement through military might. He expressed serious concern over the continued cordon and search operations, killings and arrests in IIOJK. He paid rich tributes to the Kashmiri martyrs.
