Srinagar, March 12, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has said that India has launched an all-out war against the defenseless people of the territory to intimidate them into submission.
Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed pain and anguish over the prevailing grim situation in occupied Kashmir. “Parents receiving charred bodies, houses razed to ground, young human lives lost every day. An all-out war has been launched against the defenseless Kashmiri people as every lethal weapon is being used with the clear aim of dismantling the rights and to force the Kashmiri people into submission,” he said.
Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Chairman said that the aggressive policy of New Delhi against the Kashmiris was aimed at creating a graveyard-like silence with force that was resulting in the continued bloodshed in the territory. He said that the lack of political will and strategic and economic interests were the reason why the international community appeared powerless to halt humanitarian crisis in occupied Kashmir.
The APHC leader appealed to the world community to put pressure on India to immediately stop its military aggression against the Kashmiris. He also urged the UN to uphold its mandate and credibility and take all necessary measures to ensure the implementations of its resolutions to settle the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.
