Srinagar, April 06, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, prominent religious scholar and the Chairman of Ummat-e-Islami Qazi Yasir, condemning the ongoing bloodshed in Kashmir, has said that India has waged a war against the people of the territory. Qazi Yasir addressing a public gathering in Islamabad town said, Kashmiris are being killed at free will by the Indian troops and the world community is maintaining a criminal silence on the issue.
He also condemned the use of force on the funeral of Zubair Ahmed Turray and said India is now afraid of the massive participation of the people in funerals as well. “The attack on the funeral of Zubair was merely to reduce the size of his funeral,” he added. He said first Kashmiris are killed and then people are barred to mourn the deaths. He also denounced the house detention of Hurriyat leaders.
Qazi Yasir thanked the people of Pakistan for observing solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir. He also expressed gratitude to ewnowned Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi who called for end to bloodshed in the occupied territory.
He appealed to the international community to take up the Kashmir dispute where people are being killed, maimed and harassed every day. Later, a prayers session was organized for the people martyred in the past week wherein Qazi Yasir also demanded the release of political detainees.
