Srinagar, May 17, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, senior APHC leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, has described the unabated killing of Kashmiri youth as a disgrace to the world and said that India is seriously violating international laws in the territory.
Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai in a statement issued in Srinagar said Kashmiri people are peacefully struggling for their political rights and especially their birthright to self-determination but India always uses military might against them. He said New Delhi has miserably failed to suppress the freedom sentiment of the people of Kashmir through use of brute force. He said the people of Kashmir would continue their liberation struggle till it reached its logical conclusion.
Ashraf Sehrai also denounced the international community, saying its insensitivity and unconcern is the main reason for this unabated bloodshed in the occupied territory.
He appealed to the world human rights organizations to play role in stopping the killing of innocent Kashmiris art the hands of Indian forces. He said the world community must intervene and impress upon New Delhi to settle the lingering Kashmir dispute according to the will of Kashmiri people.
