President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, has stated that the recent Indian aggression has unveiled the Hindutva policies.
In a statement here on Wednesday, he mentioned that India’s actions of launching attacks under the cover of darkness have further escalated tensions in the region. He appealed to the international community to take immediate steps to resolve the Kashmir issue to establish lasting peace in the region.
The President of Azad Kashmir stated that by imposing war on Pakistan and attacking unarmed civilians, India has shown its true colors. He further stated that the armed forces of Pakistan have given a fitting response to the Indian attacks, sending a clear message to India that the Pakistani forces are ready to counter any aggression.
Barrister Sultan Mahmood condemned the expulsion of Kashmiri students from Indian universities by the Indian government. He invited Kashmiri students to enroll in universities in Azad Kashmir and promised them all possible facilities.
He urged the international community to mediate in Kashmir and play its role in granting the Kashmiri people the right to selfdetermination in accordance with United Nations resolutions. He said that the sacrifices of the people of occupied Kashmir have highlighted the Kashmir issue at the international level.
The President of Azad Kashmir said that the actions of the Modi government are damaging peace in the region, and India’s acts of terrorism are exposing its vile face internationally. He appealed to the international community to take practical steps to curb India’s fascist tactics.
Barrister Sultan Mahmood stated that the time has come for the international community to play an active role in establishing peace in the region and resolving the Kashmir issue so that the Kashmiri people can decide their own future. He said that the root cause of unrest in the region is the Kashmir issue, and its resolution is the guarantee of lasting peace between the two countries.
