Indian allegations biased, unfounded: JI IOK

Srinagar, March 11, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jamaat-e-Islami while refuting all allegations levelled by Indian government and its agencies against the politico-socio welfare party as baseless, biased and unfounded. The Jamaat-e-Islami in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “The Jamaat makes it amply clear that the party was formed for propagation of the message and teachings of Islam based on justice, peace and equality, in its true form in a peaceful, democratic and lawful way and never adopts any underground, violent or disruptive methods for achieving its cherished goal.”

“The constitution of Jamaat strictly prohibits the use of any undemocratic, unlawful or violent method, causing any law and order problem or strife on the earth. So the concocted allegations that Jamaat or any of its wings is, in any way involved in spreading or promoting any kind of violence is totally false and baseless, being outside the purview of the activities of the organization.”

The Jamaat termed it simply a defamatory campaign against the party in order to justify the ban which under no legal system in vogue in the civilized world can be justified.

Meanwhile, Hurriyat leader, Mushtaqul Islam while lashing at pro-Indian political parties for their deceit, said that their hue and cry against ban on Jamaat-e-Islami was just a gimmick. “They are shedding crocodile tears over the issue” and blamed these parties for deceiving people.

Terming the detention of Mohammad Yasin Malik, advocate Zahid Ali and scores of other leaders and activists unlawful and uncalled for, Mushtaqul Islam said that these detentions and harassment won’t deter the Kashmiris from pursuing the freedom mission.
