Parliamentary Secretary for Human Rights, Saba Sadiq, on Friday strongly rejected the baseless and inflammatory accusations by the Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, labeling Pakistan as the ‘epicenter of terrorism’.

‘These statements are a deliberate attempt to divert global attention from India’s grave human rights violations in the Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK)’, she said in a statement.

Saba Sadiq said India is subjecting innocent Kashmiris to enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and the use of pellet guns against civilians. These actions are blatant violations of international human rights laws, she stated.

She emphasized that India’s provocative rhetoric and baseless accusations pose a threat to regional peace. She said Pakistan will continue to support the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination.

She said Pakistan calls on the international community to hold India accountable for its atrocities in IIOJK. She said our leadership remains committed to supporting the Kashmiri people and strengthening institutions to ensure lasting peace in the region.
