Srinagar, July 11, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian Army commando was killed and another was injured in an attack during a cordon and search operation at Kandi in Kupwara district, today.
An army officer told media that a soldier of 4 PARA namely Sepoy Mukul Meena sustained serious bullet wounds in an attack in Sadu Ganga area of Kandi and was evacuated to military hospital Drugmulla where doctors declared him brought dead. One more army man received injuries, however, his condition is stable, he said.
The operation was launched in the area yesterday. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara, Ambarkar Shriram Dinkar, also confirmed the death of the army soldier. He said that the operation in the area was going on.
