Indian police arrest Mukhtar Waza, Bilal Siddiqui in IOK

Srinagar, January 12, 2018 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, Indian police, today, arrested Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL), Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, in Islamabad town. Mukhtar Waza along with a party delegation was scheduled to visit Khudwani area of Kulgam to meet the families of the youth recently martyred by Indian troops. However, Indian police arrested him outside his residence at Kadipora in Islamabad and detained him along with the delegation at Sherbagh Police Station in the town.

The JKPL spokesman in a statement strongly condemning the arrest of party Chairman deplored that the puppet authorities denying space for resistance leadership to carry out its peaceful activities. Meanwhile, Indian police arrested Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Bilal Siddiqi, after raiding his residence in Srinagar.
