Indian police arrest Waza in IOK

Srinagar, February 05, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza was arrested by Indian police when he was scheduled to visit different areas of South Kashmir, today. A JKPL spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Waza was lodged in Saddar Police station in Islamabad district. Meanwhile, JKPL spokesman thanked Pakistan for observing 5th February as the day of solidarity with the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir.

On the other hand, Tehreek-e-Muzahamat Chairman Bilal Ahmed Siddiqui in a statement said that Pakistani efforts regarding the resolution of the Kashmir dispute were unforgettable. As an important party to the Kashmir dispute, Pakistan from day one has extended its Political, diplomatic and moral support to get it solved keeping in view and consideration the political aspirations of people of Jammu Kashmir and in accordance with United Nations relevant resolutions, he added.
