Indian Police detain three journalists in Sriangar 

Srinagar, September 08, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police detained three journalists in Srinagar in fake cases registered against them. Indian police along with personnel of CIK (Counter Intelligence Kashmir) raided the houses of prominent journalists, Showkat Ahmed Mota, Izhaar Qadri, Shah Abbas and Hilal Mir in Srinagar. The police arrested them during raids and lodged them at Kothi Bagh Police Station in Srinagar. The police also seized their laptops and mobile phones.

Showkat Ahmed Mota is Chief of Kashmir Narrator Magazine. Hilal Mir is working for TRT World, a state owned Turkish public broadcaster news channel. Izhaar Qadri is working with many news outlets. Earlier, the journalists talking to media in Srinagar termed the raids as an act of harassment and coercion as Indian government wants to silence the Kashmiri journalists.
