Srinagar, August 10, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Hurriyat forum led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and the Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML) have condemned vandalizing, ransacking of residential houses, arresting of family members and relatives of freedom activists in South Kashmir by the Indian forces and termed it the worst form of state terrorism.

A spokesman of the forum in a statement issued in Srinagar denounced the nocturnal raids in various villages Pinglish, Gulshan Pora, Ameerabad, Mongehama, Jawaharpora, Laam and Sheerabad in Tral area of Pulwama and arrest of the relatives of freedom activists by the Indian forces’ personnel.

The spokesman paid rich tributes to the five youth martyred by the troops during a cordon and search operation in Rafiabad area of Baramulla and said that the Kashmiris were indebted to the youth for offering the great sacrifice of their life for the Kashmir cause.

The spokesman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League in a statement issued in Srinagar condemned vandalizing and ransacking of residential houses of freedom activists. He said that the Indian forces’ personnel had turned the occupied territory into a battlefield and had waged a war on civilians particularly in South Kashmir.

He said the men in uniform have unleashed a reign of terror in the parts of south Kashmir. India and its forces must understand that the resentment and anger against them will continue to grow among the youth in Kashmir as long as the Indian state terrorism continued in Kashmir, he added. The spokesman said that India’s brutal tactics could not break the Kashmiris’ resolve and they would continue their struggle till it reached its logical conclusion.
