Indian troops martyr one Kashmiri; soldier killed in attack

SRINAGAR: Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism, martyred one Kashmiri youth in Kupwara district on Friday

According to Kashmir media, the troops martyred the youth during a search operation in Tangdhar area of the district. Indian official sources told media men that the search operation was going on. Separately, an Indian army soldier was also killed in an attack in the same area.

Meanwhile, In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the High Court has quashed detention orders of five detainees held under black law, Public Safety Act (PSA), and directed the authorities to release them.

The court, while hearing the two separate petitions filed by Suhaib Azim Khan, Basit Ahmad Shah, Jahangir Ahmad Bhat, Kamaljeet Singh and Ali Hussain, challenging their illegal detention orders passed against them by district magistrates of Islamabad, Budgam, Pulwama and Jammu districts, quashed all detention orders and directed the jail authorities to release them forthwith. The court upheld the detention of one Mohammad Shaba’an Butt.
