KARACHI:Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah last night inaugurated Sir Adamjee Park on Hussainabad Food Street in collaboration with Okhai Memon Jamaat and Jaitpur Memon Association.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Sindh’s Coordinator Shehzad Memon, President Okhai Memon Jamaat Abdul Waheed Memon, President Jaitpur Memon Association Asif Majeed, ABAD’s Mohsin Sheikhani, Iqbal Adamjee, Haji Tayyab, Arif Majeed, Arif Sheikhani, Hanif Goklani, Altaf Tai, President PPPP Central District Zafar Siddiqui, Deputy Commissioner Central Dr. Raja MB Dharijo, MC Central Muhammad Ali Zaidi and others were present.

Addressing the ceremony and the media, Shah said that it was a privilege for him to inaugurate park named after Sir Adamjee. Sir Adamjee was a close associate of Quaid-e-Azam. His services to Pakistan are unforgettable. We all have a responsibility to take care of things and places named after national heroes.

He said the condition of the place was in very bad and it was turned into garbage dumping point. Okhai Memon Jamaat and Jaitpur Memon Association have done a remarkable job in rehabilitating this park. He said that the main road of Hussainabad had been improved which had reduced traffic problems.

The minister said that the Sindh government would develop the entire province in line with the vision of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and added that new era of development would start in district central also.

“They do not have any MPA or MNA from district central, only one union council chairman belonged to PPP in last tenure of local bodies in this district,” he said and added that despite that development schemes worth millions of rupees undertaken in the district.
