ISLAMABAD:Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Friday that election is right of people and it will be held on time.
Addressing a presser on Friday, the minister made former prime minister Imran Khan target of her criticism as saying he was removed from power because of his bad deeds. Rejecting Imran’s demand for early elections, she said that election would be held on time.
She also took jibe at former premier saying ‘those who talk about self-respect, they have sold Kashmir’. She said that the former PM should feel ashamed while talking about foreign conspiracy. Expressed her bewilderment over former premier’s statement asking those responsible for removing his government to correct their mistake, Ms Aurangzeb said that ‘you made a mistake by launching an attack on constitution’.
She lamented that the people had to bear the consequences of the PTI government’s economic terrorism. The minister again took a swipe at former premier regarding Toshakhana gifts. She goaded him about their trading at shops at higher prices.
“You took the gifts from Toshakhan but sold them at shops. It’s a dacoity on Toshakhana gift room”, she added. She stated that Imran had to be held accountable for all his crimes. Ms Aurangzeb reminded former premier Khan that the same man provided him security whom he denied even a chair in the jail.
She was of the opinion that there was a contradiction in Imran’s action and saying. She alleged that Imran Khan won in the previous election due to RTS, but this time he won’t be able to do this. On former accountability advisor Shahzad Akbar, Ms Aurangzeb said that he was specially appointed by the previous ruler to keep an eye on Shehbaz Sharif as what he was eating and where he was sitting!
