Information Minister hails security forces for thwarting terrorist attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange

Karachi, June 29, 2020 (PPI-OT):Sindh Minister for Information, Local Government, Housing and Town Planning, Religious Affairs, Forest and Wildlife Syed Nasir Hussain Shah while appreciating the quick response of the security personnel in thwarting the terrorist attack on the Pakistan Stock Exchange, said on Monday that our security agencies were as alert as always to protect the country. The provincial information minister said that the manner in which Pakistan Rangers Sindh and Sindh Police personnel as well as private guards of Pakistan Stock Exchange acted timely was highly commendable. “The enemy has always failed because of the bravery and courage of our security personnel,” he said.

Shah lamented the martyrdom of security personnel who were martyred in the terrorists’ attack and said that the entire nation was proud of these brave sons who did not hesitate to lay down their lives for the protection of the country. The provincial Information Minister also expressed condolences to the families of the martyred security personnel. He said that the security personnel injured in the terrorists’ attack were being provided all the best medical facilities and hoped that they would recover soon.

He added that the attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange was in fact an attack on Pakistan’s security and economy. The provincial information minister said that anti-national elements were always trying to create instability in Pakistan, but due to the bravery and alertness of our security personnel, their efforts would not be successful. “Our security personnel are on high alert at all times so that the enemy does not succeed in his nefarious aims,” he said.

Shah said that many nefarious aims of the enemy were foiled by the personnel of our security agencies even in the planning stage. “Today’s incident once again proves that our security personnel are always ready to protect the country,” the provincial information minister added. “Anti-national elements should remember that whenever they turn to our country with their nefarious aims, they will face the failure,” he said.

The provincial information minister further said that politically would might had differences, but whenever it came to national security we stand by the side of the federal government and will not sit idly by until the anti-national elements are brought to justice. The provincial information minister said that Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had also given a clear instruction to talk beyond all political differences for the security of the country. “We are happy that our security personnel are ready to face any challenge,” he said.

Meanwhile, Shah in a statement severely criticized the federal government and said that the exorbitant increase in the prices of petroleum products would lead to a storm of inflation in the country. The provincial information minister said that the increase in the prices of petroleum products would further increase the worries of the already distressed people. He said that the benefits of reduction in the prices of petroleum products by the federal government could not reach the people and the people kept on wandering for cheap petrol. He alleged that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was behind every crisis in the country.

The provincial information minister said that the fact of the matter was that the people of PTI were not qualified to run the government as they had failed in every field. He said that since the PTI government came to power, it had created a lot of problems for the people.

Meanwhile, Shah said that comparatively the situation in Sindh was better in terms of coronavirus cases because if we compare Sindh with Iran, India and other neighbouring countries, there were not as many cases of coronavirus here as in various areas of these countries. The provincial Information Minister said that because the Sindh government had started taking required measures from day one, therefore the situation had started getting better today.

He said that if the federal government had not acted irresponsibly, the coronavirus pandemic would not have been so widespread in the country. Shah said that Sindh government was following the guidelines given by the federal government in the light of the orders of the Supreme Court. The provincial information Minister said that because of the incompetence of the federal government, the pandemic had spread across the country, so now everyone of us had to live with it for a long time. “Until the coronavirus vaccine is available, everyone must fully implement the announced standard operating procedures,” he said.
