Islamabad, July 31, 2020 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Imran Khan during NCC meeting on Housing and Construction sector on Thursday witnessed demonstration of the working, features and effectiveness of a web-portal that has been established by the Government of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to provide online platform for government permissions and NOCs for undertaking construction and development activities. The web-portal is aimed at offering digital solutions to the builders, minimizing human interferences and ensuring expeditious processing of the applications within stipulated timelines.
The Prime Minister was informed that the web-portal is linked with all relevant offices for simultaneous processing of the applications by concerned offices. Live dashboard is available with Chief Secretary to monitor the progress of ongoing applications and to take notice of delayed cases. The Prime Minister was informed that 09 E-Khidmat Centres have been established so far and the network of E-Khidmat Centres would be extended to all districts of the province by 14th August.
The Prime Minister appreciated the initiative and directed that the online system of NOCs and permission be adopted by all the provinces. The Prime Minister stated that the objective of minimizing human interference in the process of grant of NOCs and permission was to ensure transparency and expeditious processing of the application so that the builders and developers could be provided with a congenial and conducive environment to reap the benefits of incentive package offered by the Government in construction sector.
