Peshawar, October 05, 2019 (PPI-OT): The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan yesterday (03.10.2019) visited Swat to review the security situation in Malakand region. He had two separate interactions, the first was an IHD at Malakand Fort in which the GO, LEA Commanders and Police leadership participated. The security situation was reviewed in-depth and a strategy agreed upon to counter militancy related issues.
This was followed by an exclusive review conference of Police echelons in which aspects related to law and order were deliberated upon. The IGP directed Regional Police Officer Malakand to prepare a case for a special security package for Malakand Region to meet the requirements of HR and Technical equipment needs of this region. The same would be submitted to the CM for his approval.
