Karachi, January 22, 2018 (PPI-OT):Sindh’s Inspector General of Police (IGP) AD Khowaja on Monday said that security arrangements at police station level should be ensured for anti-polio campaign. He directed top police officials to provide security to polio teams in sensitive union councils. He instructed the SHOs to enhance the security and deploy police commandoes in order to avert any untoward incident in the sensitive union councils.
Khowaja said that police commandoes and civilians should be deployed in such areas. However, He stressed the need to enhance intelligence sharing, patrolling and routine checking, particularly during the campaign. He directed the officials to facilitate the policemen deployed for the security of anti-polio teams.
