Federal Minister for Interior, Mohsin Naqvi, on Sunday, paid tribute to Captain Zohaib Uddin and Sepoy Iftikhar Hussain, who laid down their lives during an operation against Khawarij terrorists in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The two brave soldiers were martyred while foiling the nefarious designs of terrorists operating in the region.
In his statement, Naqvi lauded the sacrifices made by the martyrs, emphasizing that Captain Zohaib Uddin and Sepoy Iftikhar Hussain had earned the highest rank of martyrdom for their unwavering commitment to the nation. He underscored that their selfless sacrifice had disrupted the plans of the Khawarij terrorists, ensuring the safety of countless citizens.
The minister also commended the efforts of the security forces, acknowledging their decisive action in eliminating eight Khawarij terrorists. He stated that the operation was a testament to the strength and dedication of the security forces in safeguarding Pakistan’s sovereignty. “The courage and vigilance of our forces have once again thwarted the evil intentions of the terrorists,” Naqvi said.
Expressing his firm resolve, Naqvi made it clear that there would be no safe haven for terrorists in Pakistan. “With the support of the nation, we will continue to combat terrorism and ensure the security of our people,” he added. The interior minister also expressed his deepest sympathies with the families of the fallen soldiers, reassuring them of the government’s full support.
“The sacrifices of Captain Zohaib Uddin and Sepoy Iftikhar Hussain will never be forgotten,” Naqvi said, concluding his remarks with heartfelt condolences.
