ISALAMABAD: International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking was celebrated on Sunday across the globe, including Pakistan, to raise awareness of the major problems that illicit drugs create in society.
An event to commemorate the World Drug Day 2022 by UNODC, Ministry of Narcotics Control and Anti-Narcotics Force Government of Pakistan, was held in Islamabad. People from all walks of life, international and national counter parts, civil society, students, housewives, children and media joined the event.
Secretary Ministry of Narcotics control Ms Humaira Ahmad gave his remarks on the drug abuse and prevention and applauded UNODC, ANF and ministry of narcotics control for their work in controlling drug usage. Representative UNODC Mr Jeremy Milsom also gave his remarks on the occasion.
