Internet, train services suspended in South Kashmir

Srinagar, June 19, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, mobile Internet and train services were suspended in South Kashmir following the killing of a youth by Indian troops in Kulgam district. Aijaz Ahmad Butt was killed and another youth was injured in firing by the Indian troops in Nowpora Akhran in Kulgam district on Monday.

The train service from Banihal to Srinagar was suspended on Tuesday fearing anti-India protests against the civilian killing. Meanwhile, complete shutdown is being observed in Kulgam district against the killing Ajaz Ahmad Butt in army firing. All shops and other commercial establishments are closed in Kulgam town and other areas of the district to mourn the killing. Shutdown is also being observed in Islamabad town and adjacent areas to pay tribute to Qazi Nisar on his 24th death anniversary, today.
