ISLAMABAD:International Day of Family Remittances is being observed today (Thursday) to pay tribute to millions of migrant workers who send money home to their family members in the form of remittances.

Adopted by the UN General Assembly, the Day highlights the resilience of migrant workers in the face of economic insecurities, natural and climate related disasters and a global pandemic.
