International Day of Solidarity with detained and missing staff members of the United Nations is being observed today (Sunday).
Its aim is to protect UN staff and peacekeepers, as well as staff of non-governmental community and press, through mobilizing action and demanding justice for them.
In his message on the occasion, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has called for strengthening the resolve and means to protect UN staffs who works for peace, sustainable development and human rights for all.
