Karachi: International Forum on investment opportunities of Economic Cooperation Organization ECO meeting in Iran’s Southeastern port city of Chabahar in April will be attended by ambassadors, investors from ECO’s 10member states and told of investment opportunities in the Free Trade Zone.
ECO is an intergovernmental regional organization established in 1985 by Iran, Pakistan & Turkey with aim of promoting economic, technical, cultural cooperation among its member states. It was expanded in 1992 to include seven new members, Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan & Uzbekistan.
Chabahar Free trade Zone enjoys essential properties for transit of goods to ECO member states. It enjoys high international status in transit of commodities to ECO states including the land locked Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan & Afghanistan.
