Islam preaches respect of all religions: PM

Islamabad, December 09, 2020 (PPI-OT): Prime Minister Imran Khan has stressed the need for dialogue at international level to address the issue of Islamophobia.

Chairing a meeting of federal cabinet in Islamabad, he said Islam preaches respect of all religions.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi while briefing the cabinet about the recent OIC meeting, said all members of the organization condemned the Indian atrocities in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The Cabinet approved restructuring of Board of Directors of six power distribution companies, including Faisalabad, Lahore, Islamabad, Hyderabad, Peshawar and Quetta to improve their efficiency.

Special Assistant on National Health Services Faisal Sultan briefed the cabinet about the latest COVID-19 situation. He said the second wave of the pandemic is proving to be more fatal.

The Prime Minister in his remarks said that there should be no politics on the pandemic as it poses threat to lives of people. He directed to ensure adequate supply of oxygen in all hospitals.

The cabinet approved monthly M.Phil allowance of 2500 rupees for personnel of armed forces.
