Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, in his message on Human Rights Day, said today that Islam upholds an eternal message of human rights for all of humanity, as embodied by the teachings of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

According to a PID statement, the minister highlighted that Islam stands as a flag-bearer of human rights, ensuring equality for every citizen. He stressed that the provision of fundamental human rights remains a hallmark of all civilized societies and reaffirmed that safeguarding these rights is the state’s foremost responsibility.

“Every citizen in Pakistan is granted equal rights, and religious freedom is fully respected for all minorities,” Naqvi stated, reiterating the government’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and justice.

He urged the nation to renew its pledge to protect the human rights of every citizen, emphasizing that such principles are foundational to Pakistan’s identity and progress.
