Islamabad police have apprehended twelve individuals involved in drug trafficking and confiscated a significant quantity of illegal substances. The arrests occurred during operations conducted by various police stations in the city, including Kohsar, Margalla, Shalimar, Golra, Noon, Khanna, and Kirpa.

The seized contraband includes 12 kilograms of hashish, 4.37 kilograms of heroin, 2.361 kilograms of ice, and 32 bottles of liquor. The operations were carried out under the direction of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. Cases have been registered against the suspects, and extensive investigations are underway.

Law enforcement agencies are also pursuing accomplices and distributors connected to the apprehended traffickers. DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq affirmed the Islamabad Police”s commitment to combating drug trafficking and protecting young people from the dangers of substance abuse.

He emphasized that authorities will not tolerate any attempts to jeopardize the future of the youth. The police department encourages public cooperation and urges citizens to report any suspicious behavior or objects to their local police station or the emergency hotline “Pucar-15”.
