Islamabad police have apprehended 26 individuals involved in various illicit activities, confiscating a substantial quantity of narcotics, firearms, and other weaponry. Teams from multiple police stations, including Golra, Tarnol, Sabzi Mandi, Shams Colony, Khanna, Humak, NilorE, Phulgran, and Shahzad Town, participated in the operation, seizing 3,677 grams of hashish, 171 grams of ice, 262 bottles of wine, eight pistols, a rifle with ammunition, and several daggers.
Cases have been filed against the 20 suspects apprehended in these raids, and investigations are underway. An additional six individuals wanted in connection with other offenses were also taken into custody during a targeted campaign focused on capturing fugitives and absconders.
These operations are part of a broader crackdown on criminal activities initiated under the direction of Islamabad Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The Islamabad Capital Police force is committed to maintaining law and order in the federal capital. Safeguarding the well-being and belongings of residents remains their paramount concern, and authorities are determined to prevent any disruption of public peace.
The police department encourages public cooperation and urges residents to promptly report any suspicious behavior to their local police station or through the “Pucar-15” emergency hotline. This collaborative approach between law enforcement and the community is essential to eradicating crime.
