Islamabad police on Sunday claimed to have apprehended 13 criminals and confiscated illegal firearms and alcohol as part of an ongoing operation to enhance public safety in the capital city.
Teams from multiple police stations, including Margalla, Shalimar, Sumbal, Khanna, and Lohi Bher, detained seven individuals possessing twenty bottles of liquor, two pistols, a rifle, and ammunition. Charges have been filed against these suspects, and investigations are proceeding.
In a separate initiative targeting fugitives and wanted criminals, law enforcement officials captured six more individuals. SSP Operations Islamabad Muhammad Shoaib Khan emphasized the capital police”s commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of its residents. He reiterated that any actions disrupting public order will not be tolerated.
Khan underscored that citizen safety is paramount for the Islamabad Police. He encouraged residents to promptly report any questionable behavior to their local police station or through the “Pucar-15” emergency hotline, fostering collaboration between law enforcement and the community to maintain a crime-free environment.
