ISLAMABAD: Islamabad police on Saturday claimed to have shot dead a man in an encounter, who had allegedly killed Aqib Hussain, a constable, a few days ago. However, his accomplice managed to escape from the spot.
According to the police, cops manning a check post at Sahaba Chowk signaled two suspicious looking men who were mounted on a motorbike to stop. The moment they stopped, police added, they opened fired at the cops, who retaliated.
Resultantly, one of the men, named Adnan, was killed while the man sitting next to him on the bike fled from the spot. Police also claimed to have recovered weapons from the slain person, and added that teams had been dispatched to also arrest his accomplice.
