Islamabad AC summons former Sindh CM Shah in Nooriabad plant case

ISLAMABAD:Former Sindh chief minister Murad Ali Shah has been summoned by an Islamabad accountability court in the Nooriabad Power Plant corruption reference.

The AC has recently revived the case against the PPP leader after the Supreme Court of Pakistan annulled the amendments to the National Accountability Ordinance (NAO).

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has accused Shah of misusing authority and awarding contracts without feasibility studies of the projects.

The former chief minister has been accused of causing a loss of Rs8 billion to the national kitty.
