Jeddah (UNA-OIC) � The Islamic Solidarity Fund (ISF), a subsidiary organ of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), announced that the total assistance provided by the Fund to the member states amounted to more than $6 million during 2017.
ISF Executive Director Ibrahim bin Abdullah Al-Khuzaim said that the Fund disbursed $6.079 million in support for 85 projects, with the State of Palestine topping the list of beneficiaries of aid, amounted to more than $1 million.
OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen praised the efforts of the ISF Executive Committee and its executive director and colleagues. He also called on the member states to continue to support the Fund’s activities and its financial resources so that it can undertake its functions.
