IT Services Exports Surge with SIFC Backing

A notable rise in IT services exports, attributed to the Special Investment Facilitation Council’s (SIFC) support, has been reported. Statistics reveal a six percent increase, garnering 5.4 billion dollars in foreign exchange in the last eight months.

Exports of IT, computer, and telecom services expanded by twenty-five percent, reaching 2.4 billion dollars. This demand for Pakistani IT services on the global stage presents new prospects for freelancers and startups.

The government has set a target of fifteen billion dollars in IT exports over the next five years. Recent growth trends have laid a foundation toward achieving this ambitious goal.
