THATTA: Jhirk police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested six criminals and recovered a rifle and three pistols from their possession.
According to the police, on a tip-off, a Jhirk police team headed by SHO Nek Mohammad Khoso raided an area where eight criminals opened fire on them. The police also retaliated the fire. During the encounter, the police arrested four criminals while four others managed to flee the scene. The arrested accused were identified as Moula Bakhsh Bugti, Imran Bugti, Majeed Bugti, and Irfan Ali Bugti. The police also recovered a rifle and three pistols from the accused.
The police claimed that the arrested accused were involvement in several crimes in Thatta district. Separate cases have been registered against the arrested accused at Jhirk police station. The police are conducting raids for the absconding accused. In another raid, Jhirk police arrested two suspects Luqman Brohi and Abdul Aziz Brohi along with two pistols on Raju Nizamani Link Road. The police have registered a case against the accused.
