Srinagar, March 12, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Coordination Committee (JKCSCC) has filed a writ petition before the Supreme Court of India challenging the recent ordinance passed through the President of India.
The JKCSCC members addressing a press conference in Srinagar said that the JKCSCC on behalf of people of Jammu and Kashmir had filed a writ petition before the top court of India challenging the recent presidential order, which they termed as an attack on Article 370.
“We have filed a writ petition before SC to quash the order and the petition has been accepted and would most likely be heard on March 25,” they added. Indian President through his orders, last week, amended an act of Jammu and Kashmir and extended certain Indian laws to IOK.
