JKPFL remembers bulla on his martyrdom anniversary

Islamabad, February 15, 2019 (PPI-OT): The Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL), Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, has paid glowing tributes to Ghulam Muhammad Bulla, an enthusiastic and active freedom fighter of 1970s, who raised banner of revolt against the Indra-Abdullah Accord of 1975.

Muhammad Farooq Rehmani in a statement in Islamabad said Ghulam Muhammad Bulla organised protest demonstrations in Sopore which encouraged rest of the Valley to demand plebiscite in the disputed territory. He said police Indian arrested Bulla and brutally tortured him in custody resulting in his martyrdom on February 15, 1975 in Srinagar Central Jail.

He said the great sons of Kashmiri soil can never be forgotten and the great freedom upsurge after 1990 is result of the long sacrifices of the patriotic sons of Kashmir. He hoped that the present generation would take the movement to its logical end. He said, “The developments in the region were encouraging and India will be forced to realise failure of its wrong policies and will have to quit Kashmir to grant freedom and the right to self-determination to the people of Kashmir.”
