Srinagar, January 29, 2018 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, a peaceful protest rally was taken out in Srinagar, today, to condemn fresh spree of killings and frequent cordon and search operations by Indian forces in South and North Kashmir. The protest march was carried out from Aabiguzar to Lalchowk in Srinagar. Call for the march was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhamamd Yasin Malik. The protesters staged a sit-in at Press Colony.
Resistance leaders including Showkat Bakhshi, Mukhtar Ahmad Sofi, Noor Muhammad Kalwal, Omar Aadil Dar, Bashir Ahmad Boya, Farooq Ahmad Sodagar, Muhammad Rafiq Shah and Bashir Ahmad Butt participated in the protest.
The three leaders Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik in their joint statement issued in Srinagar, today, said that India had turned Jammu and Kashmir into a slaughter house where people were subjected to brutalities without discrimination of age and gender. They said that the increasing incidents of killings were proof of genocide of the Kashmiris carried out under the supervision of India and its puppet regime in the territory.
They said Kashmir has been turned into a slaughter house where the lives of young and old, men and women and even children are target of Indian bullets. Ongoing genocide of Kashmiris by Indian forces which is actually being done at the behest of Indian leadership is a glaring example of the state terrorism.
Meanwhile, condemning the massacre perpetuated by Indian trigger-happy forces in Shopian in which five innocents got martyred, and hundreds including two innocent women were injured seriously, the JRL leaders said though this genocide is going on from last many decades but the way Indian soldiers at the behest of their political masters have expedited this killing spree from last some months has turned this utterly horrible.
They said from north to south Kashmir attacks on Kashmiri women have also increased and recently two women from Handwara and Shopian were gunned down by Indians while as many including two innocent girls Saima and Sumera have been injured by bullets and pellets of Indians and are battling for their lives at hospital.
The leaders said that Indian forces and army soldiers who have turned into blood-sucking vampires for Kashmiris martyred three innocents and injured hundreds on 25th January but this bloodshed did not satisfy their blood sucking instinct and they slaughtered two more Kashmiris on 27th January and injured many more by their direct and unprovoked firing.
The JRL leaders said Indian rulers and their Kashmiri stooges have expedited massacring Kashmiris to end Kashmiri resistance against illegal Indian occupation but these naïve people should know that harsh measures and military might never succeed in defeating people revolutions.
